Fun & Family MELA

A Fun n Family Mela was organized at the Jinnah University for Women on the special occasion of Earth Day Saturday 26th Mar 2011.

 In the current climate of despair and terror in the hearts and minds of Karachi-ites this event provided not only the students but their families a chance to get their minds off the worries and toils of academic and socio-political life and let themselves loose to say a merry parting note to the short lived spring season.

 The attractions and entertainment on offer here catered to every age group of ladies present in a huge number, be it the spicy mouthwatering "Gol-Gappy's" or the wide variety of other fast foods available at the food stands; edibles in general were a hot commodity.

 

 Completing the whole carnivalle' experience was the shopping spree, thanks to the variety of clothing and Cosmetic items available at the stands. Women giving in to the temptation carried on with there shopping spree and also tried and experienced first hand the quality of merchandise on display. 

To satisfy the inner child in everyone there were a few wild rides which surprisingly were a huge success.

Celebrities like "Raza Haroon" and "Faisal Subzwari"
brought delight and pride to every student.
The provocative debate infused by the Samaa TV anchor about
celebrating the earth hour on request of UN General Secretary
"Ban Ki Moon", evoked various interesting & passionate comments
among the attendees.

 All in all this event was a mega hit with the students and everyone left happy and filled with wonderful memories and great stories to share and to cherish.The student body supports, celebrates and looks forward to such steps by the University Management that provide a relationally unique environment to the not only the students but there families.
